From Monday 23 October until mid-November, asphalt will be laid on Buddingevej. During the period, Buddingevej will be closed to cars on the stretch between Engelsborgvej and Jernbanepladsen, which means that the Viaduct is closed during these weeks.
From week 43 up to and including week 45, we expect Hovedstadens Lightbane and contractor, Per Aarsleff A/S, to carry out asphalt work on Buddingevej and at the intersection between Buddingevej and Engelsborgvej. As the work must take place during the day, it is necessary to completely block Buddingevej while the work is in progress. This also means that the bus traffic will be rescheduled. Asphalt work can be sensitive to wind and weather, which is why there is a risk that the work can be postponed if the weather does not allow it to continue.
During the period, the southbound buses via Lyngby Hovedgade, Chr. X's Allé, Engelsborgvej will be rescheduled. Bus line 400S will be switched to this route during the period. Hovedstadens Lightbane, in collaboration with Movia, will provide as concrete information about the location of the buses at Jernbanepladsen as possible. In connection with the rescheduling, longer journey times on all bus lines must be taken into account. The lanes on Buddingevej will be closed from the intersection at Jernbanevej/Jernbanepladsen/Buddingevej/Lyngby Torv to the intersection at Buddingevej/Engelsborgvej. This means that Vinkelvej is closed for entry and exit to/from Buddingevej. Residents in this area must therefore drive via Chr. X's Allé. There will be an option for resident traffic on Engelsborgvej on the stretch between Chr. X's Allé and Buddingevej. Engelsborgvej and Buddingevej will continue to be open for bicycles and pedestrians. You can see a maps with the primary detour routes below.
The construction work, which will take place during the daytime on weekdays between 07 and at 18, will consist of completing the pouring plant, laying new asphalt on the road and marking the carriageways. While the work is in progress, you can expect work vehicles in the area as well as noise from general construction machinery. In addition, you will be able to experience noise from the work of cutting and milling asphalt.
